The concept is lost on most that play this and it's shame considering how satisfying it can be when you understand the rules.Huge scores come more from tactics rather than mindless shooting

It's really not like Tempest and the biggest problem people have with this is they play it the wrong way

Clear Tempest from your mind when you play this otherwise you will end up disapointed

One of the few games out there in which the audio is vital, Getting used to the audio cues is vital too, for example: when you leave a level you hear a sneezing sound when you touch bullets you have juggled. I had to read a playing guide to understand whats happening, and i'm glad i did because this game is fantastic.

I agree with JDHyatt,you're doing it wrong :) Let some of the grunts reach the rim of the web then move through them; "bull" them off the edge. This raises your score multiplier and is a big part of the game.
