Traders rebuild their tunnels in Gaza - 22 Jan 09

Tunnels between Egypt and Gaza, which Israel say are used for weapons smuggling, was one of the main targets for Israel's air strikes.

Al Jazeera's Todd Baer reports from Rafah in Egypt, where many of the destroyed tunnels are now being rebuilt.

The Palestinians say the underground trading network is a necessary lifeline to get food, gas and medicine into the Strip since the border crossings remain closed.

This video is very well constructed in that it makes Gaza's tunnels appear as a peaceful, life saving last resort, and thus justifies their existance. Those Palestinians who own the tunnels are lying through their teeth about what passes through there. They tell the reporters and the anti-Israeli world exactly what it wants to hear. Clear evidence from the war proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that the tunnels were used to smuggle & store weapons. Not surprising, coming from AlJezeera's channel.
