I have 2 things to say to you:
1. In the description, you said this was banned. I saw it on TV once
2. Thanks for including the deleted part ;)

FYI - nothing from 1942 is public domain. The earliest anything is public domain is 1921/22.

You are misinfomed. Even a brand new film/cartoon/book can be public domain if the creator/writer/studios choose to release all rights and make it free. Several music groups have done that with certain songs. Something can also become public domain if a copywrite expires. The old copywrites were only good for 25 years. A very famous western author "Louis LaMour" ran into this with some of his earliest storys printed in magizines. Rights expired and stuff printed w/o his permission.

I kept waiting for the "racy" part to happen, but it never did.
Thanks for posting it anyway.

The banned "racy" part was the girly "pin-up" picture posted on the tree.
Censors were a lot stricter in those days, especially where kids programming was concerned.
