don't use a safety pin. the belly button ring is to big & the hole you make with the safety pin won't fit.

i peirced my ear at the top by myself.. not iunfected either it looks rlly good too so self peircing dont turn out bad

that's how i did mine :) at home (My best friend's house) with a 14g needle, a pair of clamps, and some vasoline :) the only reason i dont have it now is because it rejected. There was too much skin and the bar wasnt long enough so it didn't have enough room to swell.
