This is a demonstration of a series of basic American Rumba steps to help the beginner dancer gain knowledge and practice control of weight changes in different directions to the rhythm of rumba. This is done to a count of 1-quick-quick, 2-quick-quick, 3-quick-quick, 4-quick-quick with the "1" starting with the left foot whenever possible to keep consistency. All numbers are considered "slow" = "2 beats of the music" and "quick" = "1 beat of music". This is done to verbal instructions. Another video is available with the same order of steps done to music.
