Baselining is a descriptive term for deciding where the story begins. By going back far enough, we may be able to find the place where we made conscious choices -- and then lost awareness of how these choices might affect ourself and others. By seeing our part and accepting responsibility for any distortions in our perceptions or negativity in our actions, we can then make more conscious choices.
