So did you just use regular scissors? Or if not, what kind did you use and where did you get them? also, is is necessary to use the sander afterwards?

This is a very helpful demonstration... I wonder if the shears are necessary, or if one could get away with rough grit sand paper on a block instead? The heels are the only part that I get concerned about and am always concerned about cutting off too much, is it pretty safe to snip the actual pad material? Thanks again!

@ollieboater123 Not sure about the UK, but I use Terramycin (aerosol) Spray, any antiseptic spray for animals will do...cheers
