  • @VickyJ31520 to get 9x, he added 3x and 6x together. since -30 isnt a like term he has to move it to the other side. to get rid of -30 on the left side, you add 30 to it and get zero. on the other side however you get 1080. To move a number to the other side always remember to do the inverse operation. since -30 is subtraction of 30, add 30.
