PFC Open House 2009 Burn Demo

Potomac Fire Company Fire Prevention Week 2009 Open House Fire Demonstration. The members put on a demo of a cross section of a living room with furniture in the room. A fire was started on the chair to demonstrate how quick the fire can spread. The fire grows to an intense fire within seconds of ignition. The fire crew showed how the firefighters would approach the fire to knock down the flames.

Is that a 1 3/4" line? It looks like a 1"..

It was actually a 1" hose line. With the small building, we use a small hose line to kind of equal the scale out. It worked better than a 1 1/2" or 1 3/4" attack line.
