if a nanny had done this it would be seen as child abuse, when a parent does it it is seen as cool and funny. I am an early childhood teacher and work with infants,we respect the child's needs and in this situation sleep comes first. Personally I would not feed a sleeping child as it could choke and kill.

I highly doubt they do this on a daily basis. Babies always try and fight sleep, espeically as they grow into toddlers because their minds are even more active then the average adults.
