Founded in 1997 by Gidon Kremer, Kremerata Baltica is internationally renowned and performs with the very best conductors and soloists. Gidon Kremer has come up with an original programme with a focus on contemporary transcriptions of works by Bach. What's more, he has invited his friend and long-term musical partner Martha Argerich to take part; we will hear her in Shostakovich's effervescent, jazzy First Piano Concerto, a work that figures prominently in her repertoire.
