  • @TheCanaryodoom want something ecstatic? Go watch john butler play ocean live at rothbury!

  • @plonker00765 hahahaha

  • reminds me of andy mckee, nice song.

  • @TheCanaryodoom I suppose that you're right, it is a pretty mellow song. In my experience though, it takes a while to get accustomed to certain styles; it was the case for metal; took a while for black metal to make sense to me. This song is ecstatic and does show strong emotions, but that's my perspective. My point is that right now you might think that it lacks emotion, but after some time what the musician is trying to communicate will translate better.

  • @jonyboulder2 Ha, that's absolutely true (LOTS of metal). I would compare this to something like Jack Rose though, which is admittedly blunt with its tensions. Perhaps I am doomed to prefer less subtle music. I don't want it to sound "happy" I want it to sound ECSTATIC! You see what I'm saying? I definitely don't go to metal for emotion. Emotionally its either caveman blunt or terribly overwrought. It does shape my ear for tension though.

  • ok how could people seriously not like this.

  • @TheCanaryodoom To me there's plenty of emotion, its a happy song. I have a feeling that you listen to a large amount of metal(or rock lol) when associating tension and emotion. Am I right? If so, then its just a question of adapting to the style. There's a whole world of artists in this style of music.

  • @AcousticJW seriously, they really need to fix that.

  • What an incredibly amazing display of skill, talent and dedication for something incredibly boring. That's an amazing amount of work to play something that would be played in the background at a vegan cafe. He's an amazing technical player, but there's no tension, no feeling. It's just pretty. Sorry, I must be in a bad mood.
