Stephen Bourne & Andrew Warrington, 2007
Using family photographs and archive film of his adopted aunt, Stephen Bourne tells the story of Esther Bruce, a working-class Black Londoner, born in the Edwardian era, who worked as a seamstress, supported her community during the 1940 Blitz, and is now included in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography.
