Drexel rallied from a 10-point deficit in the second half and stunned No. 23 Syracuse, 81-76, in the Carrier Dome. Frank Elegar poured in a career-high 27 points as the Dragons (7-2) knocked off a ranked opponent for the first time since the 1996 NCAA Tournament. The Dragons won for the fifth-straight time and defeated their second-straight Big East opponent. Syracuse dropped to 9-3.
I absolutely love the 'cuse but, I'm a Drexel grad. For DU to beat Syracuse in the Dome speaks volumes!! Forget the Big 5 or the soon-to-be Big 6 bring on the NCAA Tourney baby!!
