Damn. I mean, what's more frightening to a man? Drinking beer and chilling, and all of a sudden, the doors are locked and there's a gun in your face, and fucking Wayne with a hunting knife. Strapping you down while Dean gets undressed? OH MY GOD! Nothing even compares to that kind of hopelessness. I just feel terrible for those boys. And everyone who ever was murdered. Jesus. What A Wonderful World
I bet 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' that followed a year or two later, hit really close to home for Texans. How bout watching that shit after knowing what went down in Houston was not only real and nearby, but that the situations those boys found themselves in was MORE terrifying than the movie they were watching. That, must've been a sickening feeling.
I only recently came across this story. Frightening that these things occur and are real. I mean, luring friends and schoolmates to a truly haunted house, is beyond my rationale. In a way this reminds me of 'Apt Pupil', the whole dynamic of a man and boy forming an unholy bond. Staggering really.
