The New Breed

For people, alike; and the kind, everlasting
The water is breaking; the birth pains are casting
A spell on the world; even if they dont know
And now everyones looking for somewhere to go
All with nothing, but panic and fear in their minds
While, so quietly rising, there lies a new kind of
Perspective and method of planting the seed
As we shed the traditional armor
And we rise as the new breed

In the streets, are the cries of the strung out and homeless
Who reach out in hope, but they couldnt be shown less
Compassion, from mockers and noses raised high
As they sip on their coffee and quickly pass by
And the needs of a million and more, are not met
As we keep occupied and we seem to forget that
The love we can share, is just what the world needs
And the mild-mannered methods will shatter
When we rise as the new breed

Protesting politically charged situations
Is flooding our lives and consuming our nations
With marching and posters and hatred and rallys
While all the world watches and everyone tallies
Just who can shout louder and who can hate more
With their eyes opened wide and their ears to the door
And the hosts and the bloggers will water this weed
But well cry, in the name of a harvest
When we rise as the new breed

And now, all that I see, is a field that needs mowin
An alley to clean and some people worth knowin
And buyin into all the worlds indigestion
Is wasted on me, for Ive only one question

I don't exclude or "condemn" anyone.. In a sense, EVERYONE is in one way or another affiliated within the same "breed".. You only defeat your purpose when you spread hate.. In many ways... we're probably the same.. We all just want "what's right"..... And yes... In a major sense, my "breed" WILL surely die.. and maybe even somewhere along the lines of soon.... But in an ironic way... that's actually not a bad thing, when you get to the bottom of it... Oh well...
