  • I though these birds were endangered? They are very rare in the states. I've never seen one other than pictures and videos. Captive breeding is great for the species and if someone has one you probably can bank on the fact the very spoiled. The u.s. Stopped importation of parrots years ago. The chances are slim to buy a wild caught bird here anymore. There are some chances but they are slim! I wish bleeding heart liberals worried about human children as much as animals! These animals that are c

  • These birds live for up to 100 years and no1 can say they will take care of it for that long.

Makes me rage to see these birds for sale overseas.

But i spose the poachers are happy that this kind of crap is legal there for you to buy, dispite it being against the wishes of the Australian people.

  • yes its sad to see that these birds are legal in the US, but the Australian goverment has made it illegal to export OS, and because greedy amercans can buy them legal in the US, the poaching wont stop till they make them illegal.

To own these birds in Australia u havta have a permit issued by the national parks so poaching for the domestic trade is nonexistant here, but sadly no checks are in place in the US, so the birds there could come from anywhere

  • Keeping these birds is legal. most you see here are captive born and bred. It is very rare to see a smuggled Parrot, Macaw or Cockatoo anymore in the states.

These birds are very intelligent and once imprinted on humans do not easily go wild, although in Southern California, we have many wild parrots, Macaws and Cockatoos thriving due to our mild weather.

Palm cockatoos are extremely rare in the states due to difficulty of breeding. They run $15K if and when you can find an available one

  • Are they not legal in america? I didn't know

  • I wish they were legal here in the US. I've never seen ONE!!

  • @MustNotRead And if there is a god,Then im sure he is happy that his creatures are being loved and cared for, instead of being left to die because of Deforestation and lack of food because of human interferance.

  • @VOCALOIDfan119 Why Not?..At least by people havin them as pets, if they have a mated pair they can keep the Species alive. ever think of that?

  • @Dnash777

we are no one to question why. he will answer to God.

  • @VOCALOIDfan119 why keep a dog or cat? The owner loves its Bird, Who are you to question why?
