here is what i dont understand....IF you are a christian then be a christain. what give you the right to force your beliefs on somone else? we have frewwill according to teh bible, do we not? then its that persons decision to "sin" against god. what businesss is it of yours? worry about your own relationship with your god and leave everyone else out of it. this is not a christian nation and it is not run based on the bible. its a nation of many ppl and many beliefs.

Many Christians feel it is their social responsibility to preserve the nation so that it does not meet God's disfavor. The unfortunate thing is that homosexuality is one sin that has been singled out.

Divorce and Adultery are equal sins. But, you won't hear most of these same people calling for the illegality of divorce (without infidelity) or adultery.

But, consider this: when you tell a Christian that s/he shouldn't vote against gay marriage, are you violating the Christians' free will?

I am a young person. and I am opposed to christianity because of it's legacy of burning, toruring, and predudice. christians think that they promote morality, but the christian invasion in england caused sexism and also held back the progression of science and knowlege for over a thousand years by burning and murdering scientists for making discoveries which opposed thier perception of God.

weoponry is not a product of science, it is the product of malitious intent. we had weopons before science. it is true that we MAY use science to make weopons but science is not an organised religion in which people will socially sanction violence and encourage it.

No, churches should not be forced to marry gays. But churches also don't have the right to make their beliefs the law of the land. A person can choose not to attend a church that doesn't share his/her beliefs, but laws affect everyong, and those laws should treat everyone equally.

Gay people should be left alone. It does no one any good giving them a headache. Despite those who feel justified to remind them that they are destined for Hell after death, even if that winds up being true, it is tacky, rude, and cruel.

I do not understand the point of reminding gay people that God thinks of them as scum. In what way is this a positive moral action? Besides, gay people have heard this many many times throughout their life and are quite familiar with rejection.

What about churches preach about keeping the sabbath and put people down for working on Sunday, but as soon as Church lets out, where is the first place they go and do. They go to Cracker Barrel, O'Charleys, etc... and go to the grocery store, which causes other people to work on Sunday - just sayin

this should not be an issue left up to votes. Marriage should be a right given to all consenting human beings regardless of their gender. A marriage is between two people, so why should anyone but those two people have any say in it?

I m not so good at English so forgive me if i spell some things wrong. I didnt read the other comments i just want to say what i belive. I´m 15 j old so im not that into marriage and love yet but still i have my thoughts. I think that everyone should be alowed to get married i mean why not its just a word it only means what you want it to mean. In the first place it means that two humans love each other so much that they want to spend their hole life together i think that is marriage.
