I am a theistic evolutionist (Roman Catholic and Chemist).

The people that have a problem with the evolutionary theory are literalists (such as those that take the bible literally word-for-word). Unfortunately, it is those groups that are the loudest in the political atmosphere.

I believe in theistic evolution. God was basically the "big bang" and then God let things progress over time naturally. It all makes perfect sense to me. I hate that so many people think that God and Evolution can never co-exist. Kind regards, Irsrps.

I believe in Theistic Evolution but than I watched a video basically stating that, why would God use evolution if he is God and could create everything in days rather than millions of years. That made me wonder. So I don't know what to think now.

From what I remember I used to be a theistic evolutionist but it was really because of that comfortable zone when you do not really care for the details. The weird thing about theistic evolution is that God becomes really smal and passive. You have to wonder why a god would choose evolution when it could do what the creationists claim. Why a 4.5 billion y old Earth and countless extinctions? Why men only recent? What god was doing?

hey that's cool. i am also a theistic evolutionist and roman catholic as well.

i myself am an ardent scholar who fiercely searches for more knowledge. you don't even understand how hard i've slaved over the theories i've established in respects to theistic evolution. i would say you could make a book from my compiled notes and findings.
