In this video I show a method using pistons to limit a pulse from a button, pressure plate or lever to a maximum length of time of your choice.

This is the second in my series of videos discussing the ideas behind the piston clock.

  • You are one of my favorite people on YouTube. You upload very enjoyable content consistently, your sense of humor adds to the entertainment of your videos, and you respond to your viewers very well, unlike many other YouTubers. Thank you for being so awesome! I wish you had more subscribers, because you deserve it more than most people on YouTube :)

  • @EricJW205 Thank you Eric... that means a lot to me.

  • Or you could just use a NOT gate instead of a piston.

  • @ixcaliber True... but pistons are way cooler! :P

  • This may could be used to make Note blocks music for people with low experience.

Oh, and one question, could the delay be longer if you put more than one repeater before the piston?

  • @sonicplayer1234 Yes absolutely! I was even thinking about that as I reviewed/edited the video. The only downside is won't increase a pulse that shorter then the max.

  • This helped me out with an arrow detector input im using. the arrow makes a constant pulse but I needed only a momentary pulse. Thanks :)

  • You can use this as a T-flip flop. I cannot be bothered to explain how or why, but it is possible.
