The Arnold House

This pre-Civil War home is hidden in a hollow in Izard County. It is truly a snapshot of the past. The House is a two-story double pen dogtrot very much like the Wolf House in Norfork, Ar. On its grounds is a square-log Mule Barn, a Cow Barn, a Smokehouse, Chickenhoue, Carriage House, and Limestone Springhouse.

Don't know if it ever will be restored. But, I can assure you, I'll do what I can to see it has a chance of being restored.

We intend to investigate something we've recently been told about this place...it's possible this site was originally settled by French traders!

Noticed, here, that you mentioned the Wolf House in Norfolk. I'm a great-great-great grandson of the Major, and have photos of me behind the house takin' a leak when I was about 4. Most of my relations there live in Mountain Home, granpa Wolf was born in Flippin and cowboyed in Missouri for a while. Then moved to New York. Do you know if this house is being restored?
