A short film about the relationship between man and his shadow. Acknowledging the problematic dualities of identity, the film evolves in a restless psychological space, as the two characters struggle through increasing degrees of conflict. They finally reach the resolution that they are, of course, one and the same.

  • The animator had a more updated version of this animation and requested that we switch it with the older one. I'm sorry if some of our subscribers got this twice, and for the comments that had to go along with the previous version.

  • I'm not sure if I get it right. As title and animation suggests it's in my opinion about the ability to recognise human being in people with different culture/world view. You can treat others as hostile shadows of what you think is human or, if you manage to break the walls of your closed mind, to see reflection of yourself. The animation is great!

  • @blenderguy2008 I grabbed this message: the animation is, as the title says, about narcissism, in fact the main character is attracted by his own shadow and, as long as he loves no one but himself, his world is quite small: just an empty room. When he frees himself form the shadow, the walls fall down and his "prison" disappears...but, just at the end, a last temptation: his image on the water (as Narcissus' story)...Or so I guess...^^

  • seeing as how most of these comment are a little long windedi'll keep mine to the point: Me love picture show

  • Haha but that is just the truest truth for this art piece from my subjective reference platform... :3

  • Narcissism is just the facilitator of the real story here which is the nature of man and true reality; and the holographic aspect of it all.

  • I can't tell if this is a crappy animation, or an amazing clay work!

    lol <3

  • @kevthedrummer should see the movie $9.99

  • wuts the song at the end credits??

  • Yup that's always like that. After defeating one of your dark sides, and finally getting free out of it's control(Level up!) you suddenly finding another one. Another obvious side. But is it dark? It looks so 3D so white and...is it a really foe? YES it is. It's the same shadow, only clever one. It hides better. It have colours. It have 3D. And it have own "apple-of-knowledje". And once you will be feed with it. Human must not be slave of his own shadows and reflections. He must be a human.

  • @kid29a i kind of thought of the same thing but with more of a "you cannot escape from yourself" kind of vibe.

  • Sequel please.

  • this was cool and creative. the body language was all you needed with this character. keep up the amazing work creative people-- From Another Creative Person
