I am an editor on Wikipedia. The article on Texas A&M is so well researched it is a featured article on the site and was featured on the main page. Wikipedia may not always be accurate, but it is an excellent place to START for a subject. Feel free to check all 100+ sources on the article. They are all reliable.

...and that would be why I prefaced my comment with "behind the Service academies..." In reality, all the Service Academies produce no more than 1000 officers per year by Congressional. Since they have some attrition, they usually start out with 1200 or so cadets/midshipmen per class.

behind the Service academies (whose sole purpose is to produce officers), A&M produces more officers than any other school. They are the largest military college in the country (please realize I am referring to their status as a Senior Military College; not everyone is in the Corps). Perhaps you should check your facts: try Wikipedia as a start.
