Lewis Black - George Bush vs.Cedar Tree

Lewis Black tells about George Bush visiting wounded vets and had the audacity to bring up a splinter he got from a cedar tree as he tries to "relate" to the wounds of these soldiers. Is there no end to Bush's insensitivity or his stupidity?

If George W was so stupid, what must be your opinion of Obama? Listen carefully, all of your lives you have been taught to be careful that you don't get fooled by the outward appearance or slick words, but with a politician people have forgotten. Amazing. Look around you what do you see? Ten percent unemployment and blame. When Reagan took office he fixed a worse condition in 2 years and never once bad mouthed Carter. I hate politics. I just want them to do it right.

You REALLY need a history lesson if you believe Reagan "never once" bad mouthed Carter. He was blamed throughout the ENTIRE Reagan administration AND to the end of Bush 41's administration as well. In fact, the GOP has openly blamed him as recently as 2008, nearly 30 YEARS after he's gone. So to pretend that Obama is unprecedented in blaming his predecessor, you're delusional, as well as COMPLETELY misinformed!

Okay, I hate Bush and love Lewis as much as anyone, but I get the impression that this isn't fair. It seems like a self-disparaging joke to entertain those poor fuckers; the very ridiculousness of it was the point. Humor. Something a comedian should understand.
