You may be familiar with boolean or pathfinder tools in different modeling and graphic design applications. SketchUp doesn't have built in tools that directly do boolean operations, but it is easy to get boolean effects with the "Intersect with Model" functionality and some creative geometry erasing.

  • Actually, its a pretty good video once you finaly understand Flash Gordon's lightning-speed moves. 10/10

  • Too fast? :\ "ohh so you do this, and the'n... Eurrghh! Back-trackk."

  • this is just so simple!! TY!

  • this is far better from what I get when I try the boolean command in 3ds max..

  • I keep seeing this bordering box when people are selecting multiple Items, but I have NEVER been able to find it on any version of Sketchup I've used...6 through 8. What am I missing? I don't like holding control and dragging my mouse over a model only to select random portions!

  • Good!! More!!

    Fast and accurate.
