Meryl Streep and the rest of the cast sing "Eating Mushrooms" (appropriate enough for an adaptation of the Alice stories) and perform an interpretation of "Jabberwocky" in the New York Shakespeare Festival production of Elizabeth Swados' "Alice At The Palace" (1981). Look out for Rodney Hudson, Michael Jeter, Betty Aberlin and Mark Linn-Baker among the sea of faces.

This my favorite version of "Jabberwocky" set to music. It has the feeling of a Medieval ballad. It feels very intense and mysterious. The harmony and pronunciation are perfect, and the Maori-style fight is a unique touch. It is very upbeat and catchy! A good transition to the Looking-Glass portion of Alice at the Palace.
ok, this is one of the greatest pieces of theatre EVER. I've seen two versions, both are bloody brilliant. I've actually seen my school's production twice. This is an amazing adaption of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.
