  • Hi Todd,

Thank you, as it happens, I believe I will be getting a copy in due course. Because I now live in Canada, I wasn't able to see it until it appeared on YouTube, which it did within 24 hours! Amazing.

It was an amazingly emotional show, and I am so happy and proud that my little opus was part of it.

  • If you dont get it Peter, let me know and I will send you a copy of your composition via e-mail if you wish.

    Bye for now.

    Todd.

  • How wonderful to have my composition 'Everyone Suddenly Burst Out Singing' performed for this amazing programme, and by such wonderful singers. From my heart, thank you so very much. Peter Willsher

  • Its a pleasure Peter, I take it that you have your own copy of this recording, if not please let me know and I will send you a copy.

    Bye for now.

    Todd.

  • I did one of my periodic searches for recordings of this and find that you just a few hours ago posted a performance on The Singer Link. What serendipity!

I still hope to find a commercial recording, is there a formal reason why there hasn't been one, or is it market happenstance?

  • It is very nice to hear from you, Peter. Is there really no commercial recording of this song?

  • @salliesatt It won't go with the link!!

  • @salliesattI just found your email! How lovely of you to write such a glowing report! Please tell your choir that I am so glad that they have sung my little ditty! I conducted at a memorial service in London about 15 months ago, and finally put it up on YouTube. The sound isn't terrific, but you may still get an idea of how it sounded that day

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you to Peter for writing this, to the choir for singing it, for posting it. Our church choir in Concord, Massachusetts sang it a few years ago and, as beautiful and moving as it is to hear it, it is radiantly soul-touching to sing it. It is amazing to me that this work doesn't seem to be available anywhere on CD.

  • My favourite poem of all time. Nice musical version.
