@blooballoo well, i'm aware and i agree that change his sound his important, but i don't like the way he did it. the music he makes, the way he records and mixes it, is made to be sold and to make money. i'm sure he still thinks what he says and said in the beggining, but i feel there's something different between what he says and what he does. i'm still a john butler's fan, but i'm a bit disapointed.

or you end up playing the same songs over and over. You get bored and it ruins the music for you, ive seen it happen to a few bands and its really sad. Trust me, he is a good guy and still fighting the good fight with music. He has not sold out, he is still independent with his own Label Jarrah records along with the waifs and has not given in to numerous offers from big record companies.

@taurtue i went to see him in glasgow last month and met the man himself, he was outside carving a magic wand for his son, we had a chat about April Uprising and the new sound, he is aware that fans may not like the change but he's been in a different place for a while and felt that it was time for the dreadlocks to go. the lyrics to all the new songs songs are very powerful if you listen to them, really has all the spirit of the old stuff but a new sound is needed to keep it fresh

since he cut his dreadlocks all the roots in him just faded away
