  • dont do that leg pump thing at the begining just go. keep back straight. work on reverse. bigger block. good release angle. lift. lift. lift. lift. thats it. good luck

  • @shadbomb77 thanks man

  • Nice. I actually know a guy who's gonna be a junior who can already throw that far. How old are you?

  • @allhailrat I am going into my senior year but the way I've been progressing I could be throwing mid 50s by next season. What state are you in?

  • does he throw the ball like that only for practice?

    How about the spinning thing?

  • Here are a couple technique things you should work on:

-Grip and Hand Placement: looks pretty good, I couldnt see your fingers well, but I always tell my throwers to evenly space the first three fingers to maximize force.

-Leg Drive: dont kick your leg up, drive down and away across the circle toward toe board. this will speed up your movement and get you into a more stable power position

-Feet and Hips: Get your right foot and hips pointing in direction of throw before your shoulders rotate.

  • im throwing in college, but that good to be throwing that far. try not kicking so much at the beggining and get the shot out of your palm, if you add a good flick it will add 2 to 3 feet. and like the other guy said work the reverse and your block. but lookin good man.

  • @supamanthatmanatee I'm from California. I don't actually do shot put, just discus, but I still know how to do both
