One can clearly see its outlines and that the moving landmass stopped short some 3-4 miles before ever reaching the Mediteranean .

but hey,what do i know, i'm just a casual observer ..:-)

I happened to watch a documentary on the subject on history channel, so i decided to check it out for myself...

i went on google earth and took a close look at the topography of the area and of the landslide's path.
what became imediately apparent to me is that the landmass that supposedly have coused this mega tsunamy,in fact has never really reached the sea!

To Every Viewer,

Do you think this Tsunami would cause much destructtion?
Answer:Yes.

Due to the fast traveling of a Tsunami it isnt possible to evacuate unless you want to experience the frightful feeling of haveing to get out of your car and run away from it with your bare feet, looking behind you at a big wall of water about to induct you

interesting fact in this simulation to observe the amount of time necessary to the tsunami to involve the whole area. That really makes me think there's plenty of time to evaquate most of the places involved before the wave comes. Unfotunately the destruction potential of the wave is inversely proportionated with time available to escape.

This was probably the largest tsunami from the appearance of the man on Earth.
I have found another reason to leave my city.
