An overview of my hot wire foam cutting table. This design incorporates an adjustable wire arm for angle cuts, a 16"x12" cutting table, 6"cut height and a only needs a 12vdc1a power supply. The entire build can be done for less than $20 including the nichrome wire and powersupply.

  • I have a 12volt 1.25amp transformer. its says AC inpuut but does not specify if the output is ac or dc.

    Does it matter ?

  • Wait thought you were going to be right back? LOL Nice video, I just finished building my hot wire table, well all but the power. I was going to build my own using a 12v transformer and a dimmer switch to adujst it but i think i will go with a power supply like you did. I still need to order one, the biggest i have is 12v 300mA and thats way to small. Keep up the good work!

  • your desk is really untidy, just saying
