I bought this album when I was 18, my fourth then by NR, I'm almost 30 now and to this day it's still one of my favourite albums in my collection!

@SlaveToTheDark It's really a matter of personal opinion. I think their best album was The 8th Sin (or perhaps the Grand Illusion), and personally I think the best power metal album was The Perfect Machine by Vision Divine. Personal opinion. All that said, Nocturnal Rites is definitely an epic, awesome band and is one of the best. (In my opinion of course) =D

A7x is a Nocturnal Rites wannabe. This song was released in 2000, Avenged Sevenfold released their song "Afterlife" in 2007. And A7x sounds a lot like Nocturnal Rites. Maybe they have some Nocturnal Rites influences? (They don't sound similar enough to have ripped them off though).
