Roger Bennett co-founder of the christian singing group Legacy Five completed his earthly journey and went on to join Jesus on Mar 17, 2007. Roger wrote and performed a song called "Heroes of the Faith" which commemorated his heroes. Roger is himself a TRUE hero of the faith. Hopefully, Roger performing his song and pictures of him will appropriately celebrate his life and help us remember what a great inspiration he has been to so many people.

  • what did roger die from? he was not at all.

  • Roger was diagnosed with leukemia in 1995. He fought the illness for 12 years through chemotherapy and several bone marrow transplants (involving many long months in the hospital) but was finally called home to the Lord on Mar 17, 2007. Thanks for your interest.

  • @mrbum8170 he's leukemia is why he took time off from both The Cathedral's and Legacy Five

  • My grandpa is my hero, he passed away in 2001 every night before I go to bed I listen to this song, it helped me get over the grief.

I Love You Grandpa and miss you

    xoxoxo See you soon

  • Can't wait to see Roger again...I miss him more than I could express.

  • At least we know now he has run into the arms of jesus and is finally home to stay.

  • My Grandma, was personally great friends with Roger. As their friendship began to grow so did mine & his.. Although I not even 12 Roger and I were the greatest of friends..one night at his concert he said to me into the microphone near the end of the concert, "Honey u know I want to get of this stage and come down there and give a big old hug..sadly I cannot." I was heartbroken to the news of his sad death.. He was a great husband, dad and better yet...friend.. Oh how I miss him! Love you Roger

  • Crreia.

  • Very powerful tribute! have me choking up.

Roeger was truly a great blessing - and still is.

  • The most inspirational of pianists. His perfomances on the Cathedrals Farewell video in particular are simply amazing.

  • Que Deus abençõe MuiTO sua família...!

    Cantava muito lindo...!!

  • Had the honor of seeing him perform this song w/ Legacy 5 back in 2005...at the time he dedicated it to Glenn and George...I'm glad someone has now dedicated it to Roger...he will be missed...thanks for the post!
