John and Paul have written the vast majority of the Beatles songs together. Here they were not intending to do any public performance but this was a rehearsal in their business work day

its funny to think that if they felt any bit different about something that day that song could've been something completely different from what it is.

Considering how much they could improvise and how funny John is, it's a wonder they got anything done in the studio. I'd be laughing too much and just bringing up random chords and riffs to just jam around.
