the jet did not go supersonic. that 'fog' people talk about is called prandtl glauert singularity, its a vapor cone which appears when there is a sudden drop in air pressure at the nose or rear of the jet. it has nothing to do with traveling with or past the speed of sound

@dauntless111 Pretty sure they have Eurofighters too, no?

@lucasguillen Aha no problem, when I first saw it I was like "WHOAA HE JUST RIPPED A HOLE IN TIME" lol

@petacavanagh Apologies for any mistake, cheers!

@petacavanagh Good point, but with all due respect, your affirmation is wrong.. to some point
that is not the effect of breaking the sound barrier, but that is indeed, the effect of water vapour at such a a high speed, it doesn't need to be past the speed of sound, you just need the right conditions, in this case, high speed + high G(Or high AoA for that speed, can't recall correctly)
something similar might happen when an aircraft breaks the speed of sound, with no change in G or AoA whatsoever

@lucasguillen It's the result of breaking the sound barrier (Mach 1 or Mach 1.1 at high temperatures I think) and I BELIEVE (don't quote me on this) it's something to do with condensed water vapour at such a high speed, but it's funny to note that in the cockpit you don't see anything, it's only from a distance you see the "white halo" (as it's affectionately known) :D

Eurofighter vs. Rafale
The first debate bigger than Gloster Javelin vs. Sea Vixen

@adr712 A pair of dynamic mics, probably our trusty AKG D190Es from memory
