The number of flights is expected to increase at a rate of 5% per year to reach 16.9 million flights in 2030. If air traffic management system (ATM) does not improve, chaos will reign.... And that's why, SESAR, a joint undertaking between the European Commission & Eurocontrol and over 100 partners from the aviation sector, is modernizing the system and is developing new technologies and flight procedures. SESAR aims at tripling airspace capacity, keeping a high level of safety, reducing environmental impact by 10% and reducing air traffic management costs by 50%. www.sesarju.eu

  • alright!!!

  • emm...

  • where europe will get the money

  • Are they going to expand the airspace? Because if the airspace is the same as it is but the number of flights increases that means that either we gain some extra airspace from...where, or reduce minimum separation, cancel any military airspace inside the congested civilian traffic, re-draw the route structure to fit the needs, expand the ground infrastructure (airports!!!) in order to accommodate traffic.

  • My beloved Europe.

  • A very interesting way to explain a problem that nearly anyone knows we have.

  • look all i said was stuff about flying i in no way said anything about driving, boats or ships all i said was im never gonna fly in a plane if i did that would be hypocritical you have read a little to much in to it. how come no comment on tsa touching kids up? do you work for them?

  • @TheDustninja okay good, so with that logic you should never drive, turn on any power in your home (unless your energy comes from a clean source, which I highly doubt), get in a boat or ship, or anything that comes from an unclean source. If you do, then you are a hypocrite like Al Gore.

  • @Rayz786 LOOL is the legit?
