@THEMASTEROFYOU2000 Fact is government run health care is working everywhere and the cost is much cheaper with less tampering and interference then under the restrictions of the money hogging Insurance industry. Those are hard facts republicans don't want to face. They simply call it socialism and many people stupidly repeat it. Gov run plans like in Canada allow you to be seen for the same non chronic problem so many times then a referral or improvement is expected. It simply works
One of the main concerns is how our government actuall sets the prices for healthcare costs, mostly based on the medicare system. They allow so much for every diagnosis, and they make it illegal to charge the government more than a citizen. example, most of the wait time in er is the provider triage dx, thn the office choosing billing codes, finding out how much they will get paid before your actually seen, how is that helpful? Insurance has been built around employers, why?
and in France, for example, a Dr.'s working on a salary of right at 50k a year, nurses etc about 18k. SO if there is a time in America people can get by working for that then again maybe things will change. In south American countries a nurse is just what we call an aide here, and everyone(male) is a Dr., for about 22k a year. Hospitals are specialized in France, one does orth, another disease, another surgery, etc. Thsi saves tons, but well which to choose when in a wreck?
pretty sad is the fact that the entire european union has found out exactly that, and each country has been thrashed by the excessive costs of their systems. Of course ours costs more, ans yes, in the name of cutting costs and monitoring each pt care set the costs are driven sky high. . Want to see what it takes to run a hospital? drive by on sunday, then on monday and compare emplyee parking lots. Of course the system needs fixed, it's on the billing end though, investigate
@erwinthehamsandwich You don't know what hypocrite means do you? If someone runs as a family values politician it's hypocritical when they're cheating on their spouses. I, personally, don't care what they do, but if they're putting themselves up as moral role models there is a problem. But the media focusing on this is all bullshit--it just distracts from actual issues.
@MaryJesusJoseph I was calling you, not Weiner, a hypocrite because you only dislike the focus on "bullshit" when it's about someone you like. Obviously he knew he was risking his career, so yes, even if he thought he was helping the poor and middle class, he put those priorities in the backseat. As for his support of "universal health care": TANSTAAFL. Obviously there's a trade-off between prosperity and equality.
@THEMASTEROFYOU2000 Why yes I can. Frankly the bill does not go far enough & most of it has not kicked in yet..should have public the option. It is time America stops pretending it knows better on such things & catches up with the rest of the civilized world & gets a cheaper more humane healthcare. We pay as much as twice as much for poorer healthcare and that does not even cover the 50 million who can't afford it or are un-insurable thanks to the heartless greedy fed machine here ..pretty sad
because the leas=dership elected, especially from the dems, refuses to do anything about it, instead choosing to lay blame on the republican house, while NEVER accepting the ONLY law they passed was the socialist take-over job killing economy wrecking so called "health-care" bill, I am a healthcare professional and have yet to find one person beside a politician or an insurance or drug company that this Bill ( new nick for giv'em the ol' clinton) has helped!, can you??
@rocketman6464 You're fascinating, what a substantive remark there! Also, I love your artful use of the word "relevant". I mean, making sense is overrated. Amirite?

What Qadaffi thinks of Weiners upcoming resignation over his sexting his penis over twitter:
نور اگر رفت سایه پیدا نیست نقش دیوار و چشم خیره ما نقش سایه دگر نمی دان نور اگر رفت سایه. ر رفت سایه پیدا نیست نقش دیوار و چشم خیره ما نقش سایه
دگر نمی دان نور اگر رفت سایه پیدا نیست نقش دیوار و چشم خیره ما
I That pretty much sums up Weiner.
