hmmm, ive got a simular problem but not quite as noisy as that, im thinking perhaps the rack... Does your knock over bumps in the road almost asif its like a suspension fault?

did you ever get this fixed? i have same problem in my 93 civic too... i checked tie rod ends and they arent the problem... maybe inner tie rods or steering column??? let me know what yours was
