SCTV, 11/5/82: "GARTH AND GORD AND FIONA AND ALICE"

SCTV, 11/5/82 - "Garth and Gord and Fiona and Alice". Garth, a lawyer, and Gord, a surgeon, head from the Maritimes to Toronto, where they hear there are tons of jobs. On the way, they pick up Fiona, a French-Canadian 'nuclear physicist', also headed for Toronto. In Toronto, they meet Alice, and hang out on Yonge Street and Alice's apartment. But the dream turns out to be just that, and the guys take off for Alberta. John Candy, Joe Flaherty, Andrea Martin, Jayne Eastwood and Eugene Levy.

This NEVER gets old. I've seen the original and the sentiment is right on target. I am a Canadian Maritimer and there are still lots of guys like these two who still have these dreams. I have known and still know several. Thanks for the posting.

@ter521fad You can find the "Mistake by the Lake" at the end on 11:18 to the left of the screen...It looks like a parking structure. My guess is the camera was situated on the western most bridge linking the CNE with Ontario place. The car is driving west-bound on Lakeshore Blvd.
