ACF & FNCI were the recipient of the 2006 Joyce Foundation Award for Music. Chickasaw Classical Composer, Jerod Impichaachaaha' Tate was commissioned to write a guitar concerto for renowned classical guitarist Jason Vieaux. and the Civic Orchestra of Minneapolis and to conduct music composition classes with Minneapolis area American Indian high school students from South High School's All Nations Program and from the Four Directions Charter School.

You all made me cry. I particularly identified with David Sam who was probably a skeptic right up until he hear the notes of his work being performed--and that little smile of being pleased pin-pointed the moment he was no longer a skeptic. You go you guys!
