Battles, ownage, field sniping and a GDI spy sneaking into a Nod base and planting an Ion beacon.
Has a Tiberian Sun theme to it hence the music from Tiberian Sun.
Since Jarrid Mendelson helped Frank Klepacki when doing the sound track for Tiberian Sun, a couple of his sound tracks are in this video.

I think Ion Beacons and Nuke Beacons would have been a lot more tolerable if they could only be planted at the white spot in the enemy infantry barracks.
I'm sick and tired of people wiping out building after building with them (since they can be very hard to find) or planting it on FRIENDLY buildings, and then making the joke "oops, I farted" after the nuke hits.

I think beacons are one of the best aspects of Renegade, they add a lot more fun. Simply finding a good place to nuke at the right time while thinking about how long it will take the enemy to find it.
If as you said the beacon can only be put on the ped then it only takes 1 person to make it impossible for the nuker to get into the barracks to nuke, therefore renderring a pontentially distracting tactic useless.

Are you talking about when a lamer on your team blocks the entrance to the enemy barracks with their own vehicle?
Maybe it's because I played with such obnoxious lamers on Renguard, but is your server available somewhere else?

I mean 1 Hotwire will constantly mine the bar to prevent nukers from getting in.
Lol i'm not sure what server you was on when that happened. I almost always play in Jelly when on Ren as it's original.
