Sable Tree House, Shimba Hills, Kenya

This is an amazing place to stay. The wildlife is literally on your doorstep and comes to you instead of you searching.
The accommodation is first class, from the decantered spirits to the jacuzzi via the exposed bathroom.
Maulai and Saidi are wonderful hosts and will create fabulous meals and great conversation.
The four poster bed can be wheeled onto the balcony where you can spend the night under a million stars and large bats' wings!
Watch out for the shy leopard. As soon as the camera was switched off, he appeared directly in front of us! And apparently he has been known to bring his kill back and eat it on the tree to the right of the house, which is so close you can touch it!
