Xenon: an exploded opera by Mikhail Karikis (Kings Place Oct 2010)

Clip from Mikhail Karikis's Xenon: an exploded opera live at Kings Place, London, 23 Oct 2010. A hybrid between performance art and experimental opera, this short clip is from the first part of Xenon and depicts a group of office workers opressed by a gigantic hand pointing toward the sky (shown on projection on back of stage). They struggle to find their own voices, battle with frustration and search for human dignity and rights. In this performance appear Jane Chapman, Conall Gleeson, Monica Ross, DJ Miss Bailey, Amy Cunningham, Juice Vocal Ensemble, Elaine Mitchener, Jade Pybus and Mikhail Karikis.
