evinrude all the way our buddy has exact same boat as us with a yamaha 150 and we have an evinrude 140 our top speed is 43 his is 36 we have a prop designed for the hole shot not for speed go figure yamaha sucks

@Tiramisumandeln The boat is the same size and weight but the outboards are different or else there would be no use for the test but i can see were ur coming from, a fair test would be ETEC vs VMAX :)

Try putting the Etec against the yamaha in 5 years time I bet it will be getting parted out for sparest!
Yamaha outboards are very reliable ,must say Evinrude have got some good points with this super efficient engine its light powerfull & got got loads of torque
Yam have proven to be the best for me over last 30 year,parts are expensive though,thankfully you dont need em often!

@Tiramisumandeln "The Seachaser Bayrunners are identical in weight and configuration." This applies to the boats, not the outboard engines.
