  • wait a sec he said "equal in weight and configuration" and then "of course yamahas extra 70 pounds of weight"? wtf?

  • @Tiramisumandeln "The Seachaser Bayrunners are identical in weight and configuration." This applies to the boats, not the outboard engines.

  • Put a Merc on the back, it would pull them both under!

  • evinrude all the way our buddy has exact same boat as us with a yamaha 150 and we have an evinrude 140 our top speed is 43 his is 36 we have a prop designed for the hole shot not for speed go figure yamaha sucks

  • theres no way in hell it would pull it under that easily dosent even look like there giving the yammi any gas

  • @Tiramisumandeln The boat is the same size and weight but the outboards are different or else there would be no use for the test but i can see were ur coming from, a fair test would be ETEC vs VMAX :)

  • wow that's soo dumb if you can see the back of the boat sinking why keep pulling it under? stupid marketing videos pros and cons to every motor

  • its a bloody fake i have a yamaha and i race my freind and beat him plus etechs make smoke and need oil

  • mercury is still better than both....

  • Try putting the Etec against the yamaha in 5 years time I bet it will be getting parted out for sparest!

Yamaha outboards are very reliable ,must say Evinrude have got some good points with this super efficient engine its light powerfull & got got loads of torque

Yam have proven to be the best for me over last 30 year, parts are expensive though, thankfully you dont need em often!

  • after 2 years the evinrude will be all worn out and the yamaha still as new
