  • Looks exactly like a Bedan, a French and German tool.

    Actually there are two of them used in this short clip. The first is sharpened similarly to a bedan although the sides are not relieved as a bedan would be. The second is rounded on the tip. The bedan is a great tool but the Oland is somewhat easier to make and, I think, to use.
