5 Bonds - 19 Films - Over 30 Years..
As a spy Bond is constantly reinventing himself, and on the big screen he has done this five times, as Sean Connery, Roger Moore, George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan. The documentary looks at the different characterizations each actor has brought to the role to discover the elements that make up Bond. It also traces the character back to its origin, the Bond novels by Ian Fleming, whose creation was semi-autobiographical. From the gadgets to the girls, The James Bond Story also features interviews with Q (the late Desmond Llewelyn), Maud Adams, Jane Seymour, Terence Young (Director), Cubby Broccoli (Producer), Ian Fleming and more, along with extensive film clips from Dr. No to The World is Not Enough. This action-packed documentary presents an in-depth look at the quintessential spy who has a license to kill.
(Does not contain 'Casino Royale starring Daniel Craig)

  • @tropicbird94 how stupid r u they were the worst along with George lazenbe

  • who's that fcking clown at 0:52?

  • Pierce Brosnan and Timothy Dalton were the best by far.

  • @natebaumer casino royale was much closer to the jason bourne franchise than anything fleming wrote

  • 05:58 that's B.S. OHMSS didn't FAIL at the box office it was the 3rd highest grossing film of 1969. Losing out to only They Shoot Horses, Don't They? & Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. For a professional documentary they need to check their facts.

  • @natebaumer Well you are both wrong period.

  • @h0ktar...

    Casino Royale was much closer to the Fleming character. What? It didn't have the past film's cliches? Quit squawking. Read the books, Hoss!

    @mykel1990...

    I agree about Dalton... Being ONE of the closest. To date, Dalton and Craig were of the few that really brought verisimilitude to Fleming's character.

    But then again, I am nothing more than a wanderer in the wilderness. Knowing very little of a great many things...

  • Casino Royale was a pretty good adaptation. I heard Quentin Tarantino wanted to make an rated version with Pierce Brosnan. I'm kinda glad he didn't because i haen't seen Inglorious Bastards to judge him in the espionage genre. And as much a fan i am of Q.T he should not make a Metal Gear Solid movie. That should be made by someone with a lot of espionage film experience.
