Kelly Clarkson splits with manager

Former "American Idol" winner Kelly Clarkson is saying goodbye to her manager. People magazine reports the singer and her manager parted ways, but there's no indication as to why. The announcement comes just weeks before the release of her new CD "My December." Some in the music industry speculate they had conflicting views about her new release. It is the first album she co-produced and wrote entirely. It's set to hit the shelves June 26.

A concert to benefit Farm Aid is coming to New York. The organization's founders. singers Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp, say a daylong event called Farm Aid 2007: A Homegrown Festival will take place this summer. The non-profit supports poor families in rural areas and encourages consumers to buy farm grown food. Nelson and Mellencamp will join Neil Young and Dave Matthews to headline the special concert.

Paris Hilton's agent has reportedly quit. E! Online reports Michael Donkis and his firm are no longer representing the hotel heiress. He apparently stepped down last Friday when Hilton was sent back to jail after spending a day on house arrest. There's no indication as to why they dropped her. Hilton's been a client of the agency since 2005.

Actors Ben Stiller and George Clooney have made their first appearance on the Forbes Celebrity 100 list. Stiller is at number 28 and Clooney is 40th. The magazine's annual list is based on star's earnings and celebrity appeal. Missing from the list this year is comedian Jim Carrey, Leonardo DiCaprio and Denzel Washington. The special issue of Forbes hits newsstands on Friday.

Actress Rachel Weisz is signing on to star in a new film. Variety magazine says she'll be the lead in "Lovely Bones"...a film based on a novel by Alice Sebold. The actress will play a mother who's daughter goes missing and is believed to have been killed. Weisz is known for her roles in "The Constant Gardener" and "The Mummy" series. The movie is set to begin production in Pennsylvania and New Zealand this fall.
