Summer is a wonderful season because the whole world is alive, particularly underwater, and large tench, catfish, rudd and an impossible crucian join us as we bask in the sun.

  • So this beautifully filmed series didn`t get taken up, that is a sad reflection. We have the umpteenth series of Big Brother and these wonderful films showing the beauty of our country and the wildlife don`t get shown.

We live in a cultural vacuum.

  • wauw.........

  • How lucky we are to of taken up a sport that will be with us until the day we die..

Find a small farm pond and you will be amazed at what you can catch...

  • someone can tell me what kinda reel this is?^^

  • where are these ponds!!

  • where do you get these videos from

  • Bowler caught a 5lb 4 oz Perch on the Ouse. I caught a 3 lb Perch from the same swim yesterday.. Will be back to try for a 5lb+ Perch this week. Excellent set of DVD's and the Book is worth getting to. Well done Bowler and Miles.

  • Hi Paul, I sent Hugh Miles episode 6 of my blog (Two Blokes Go Fishing)because it was very much inspired by the Passion for Angling series he filmed. He's probably having a good laugh at it...

  • Yeah, same photographer, same narrator and in this episode one of the same anglers...a fantastic formula! Inspiring stuff. Here's a bit of trivia - if you watch the title sequence for this series, and the title sequence for 'Passion...' they both feature a bird of prey swooping into the water to take a fish. (I know, I know..I need to get out more)...but it's an indication that both series are 'connected'?

  • That could be because Hugh Miles who filmed this also filmed Passion.....;-)
