Timur Bekmambetov presents his new project Black Lightning, the first Russian superhero action thriller. It's a story about an ordinary Moscow student who transforms into a hero, a city defender and a mysterious warrior to fight Evil. In present day Moscow, 20-year old Dima Maikov gets an old "Volga -- 21" for his birthday from his father. Dima soon realizes that his new car can actually fly, as it is a top secret invention of a soviet backroom laboratory. Dima can now fly over Moscow's terrible traffic jams, until one day a disaster turns his life upside down and makes him reconsider his worldview. From now on, Dima will have to protect the ones he loves and fight against Evil in Moscow sky on New-Year's eve.

They better change the name before they get sued. I was searching for the comic book character. Maybe a good movie but the name makes me mad as hell I truely thought it was about the Black man with Electrical powers. Got excited for nothing-Straight BS

I wasn't that impressed, but I'm s hard sell anyway -- special effects are a turn-off for me unless the story is worthy of them. But it wasn't bad -- a lot better than this trailer leads you to believe. And stay tuned for the after-credits -- the music that plays during them is great. I don't want to turn anyone off. See it for yourself.

@Nax0uneil You may eat your words after seeing it. It may be fantasy (it's supposed to entertain) but, well worth watching.

This is actually a very good movie I highly recommend it but this English trailer truly sucks. Thank God the stupid song in this trailer is not in the movie. If I had seen this horrible trailer first, I would never have bothered to seen the movie and I would have missed out.
