@TheChrischi1981 TheChrischi1981 Rick touched on the dirty raw sound of the albums in the 70's (excluding the awful rocking all over the world), lets face it quo fans, they have never brought anything remotely near as good since, too many happy nicey chugga chug chug barn dances They are a very capable band
If they want a raw sound they really have to start with hard rocking tracks first You aint gonna like this..but i think Rossi is half the problem he is too found of C&W stuff

Why don't they perform it Live in front of an audience, Keep the basic power of the Rhythm section and overdub the vocals and solos and repairs later in the studio.
They have never done that before. It was very successful with Frank Zappa.
Ted Templeman.Doobie Brothers Van Halen and "Montrose" can and does capture what Rick talks about here.The1st Montrose album is a tremendous cross between slick studio work and a true live stage sound.Montrose supported Quo on tour so they should be aware of one another!
Quid Pro Quo IS the album that is proper old school Quo. But they will never please everyone.
